Zeal of the Lord Almighty - by Bec Bonython

A verse which I have been pondering on during this Christmas season where we have focused on peace, is that last line in Isaiah 9:6-12
For unto us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And he will be called wonderful, counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace… The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
God the Father was so excited and passionate to have His Son come to earth to be His hands and feet of peace. To restore that which was broken, and make it whole again. To restore the perfect relationship He once had with mankind. In His perfect timing, Jesus came and healed the broken hearted, set the captives free, brought freedom to those who were bound.
We are privileged to be able to know Jesus and the peace He brings. And Father God continues to have that same zeal and excitement for intimate relationship with us today.
I pray that as you reflect on 2019, and look forward to 2020 that you continue to grow in your relationship with Father God. That you continue to be healed, freed, restored, released, and strengthened and bound in God’s love, comfort and hope through reading His Word, with prayer and by listening and obeying the Holy Spirit.
