Space for Grace - Wonky

‘your journey, your sacrifice, your desire, your space; for His grace.’

Acts 9:32-35 - As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda. There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years. “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up. All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.

A word, a promise, a challenge, an opportunity came to Aeneas. Aeneas had to respond. He had to believe and take action. Aeneas had to get up and roll up his mat. If you have been sitting still for 8 years, you are probably going to be a little wonky when you stand up, let alone roll up a mat.

The Bible doesn’t remark on the quality of the standing, or the wonkiness of the rolling. All the Bible records is the response of faith. Ask the Lord to help you take step of faith. Ask the Lord to help you not worry or be distracted by any wonkiness….
