Promises, Promises... - by Elizabeth Reynolds

Not many things in this world can say that they will never leave us. Perhaps our spouse is the only person who makes such a promise on this on Earth. But even then, it is 'till death parts us'. Can you imagine other worldly things making such a promise? Money - so easily spent, position - so easily superseded, fame - so quickly extinguished, possessions - so easily lost, even kids (with the exception perhaps of Ruth with her mother-in-law Naomi) will move away and live their own lives.

Nothing makes the promise of never leaving us. Or at least nothing can make the promise - AND KEEP IT.

Nothing... except God...

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:5-6

Praise God for His promises to which He is always faithful! I pray you are blessed by this today.
